We will start with a few prompts for personal freewriting, and then present references from our own work to illustrate how we play with the “right to opacity” (Glissant) when it comes to remembering stories. Creative writing will be introduced as a form of walking through different avenues that can create portals to re-enact re-tell, re-shape, re-invent and re-frame “hidden histories”. The results will be used as prompts for focussed freewriting and process writing that will be shared after working in sub-groups.
