Theme: Writing as embodiment and emancipation

How do we embody our writing? How does one translate the language of the body on to the page? How does the body live in the work? How can writing facilitate emancipation/liberation from the body? In what ways does language enable us to rise above or to be transported? Our workshop will comprise of group discussion exploring the above prompts vocally, physically and concluding with an exploration/reflection through writing. Our workshop will also be multimodal happening both in person and online.

Our panel invites participants to explore writing from somatic memory i.e. writing from the body to create an Imaginarium of new possibilities, futures and alternatives.
