Danyela has published widely on contemporary South African literature.
Her current project is tentatively entitled “Writing Against a Loveless World: In Search of Black Consciousness in Selected South African and Palestinian texts”. She is also the founder of Bona, an NGO which seeks to empower blind children from disadvantaged communities.
