About Lindokuhle Mnguni

Lindokuhle Mnguni is a writer, poet and a performer.She was born and raised in Tweefontein J(kwaNdebele) Mpumalanga Province. Her artistic journey began at an early age as she joined a community group called Siyanakekela Youth Center. 2012 She was part of show called “A Simple Life” and “The Village Ruler’’ 2013, both written and directed by Sbusiso Mahlangu.   Lindokuhle was part of a show Kingdom of Lakama in 2016, written and directed by Bongani Soko. 2017/18 she won the 7th National “Recite Your Own Poetry Competition(#KhahlelaMbongi)”. 2018 she was part of a play called “A Barren Woman”, written and directed by Enock Themba Masilela. 2019 she made it to top 10 at WIP&VAF(Rural Women in Perfoming and Visual Arts)poetry competition,she  also won best female poet at Kwandebele Poetry Awards. 2020 she participated in a Word n Sound competition, a 2nd runner up for KwaNdebele Poetry Competition, and a 1st runner up at the first virtual Ndebele Student Association Poetry competiton. She was part of a chorepoem called Loss iLahleko by Qhali in 2021 and was part of a poetry show called Kunini, directed by James Sithole.She collaborated with Lindokuhle Mahlangu known as Lindokuhle Imbongikazi in publishing a Ndebele Poetry book called AMAKHAMBO in 2022. 2023 she collaborated with Lindokuhle Mahlangu in a poetry and music album; translated the chorepoem called Loss iLahleko from English to isiNdebele, won Best Upcoming Poet in HEIPA Festival. Funda Mzantsi 2023 isiNdebele spelling bee champion and an isiNdebele Reading Impromptu first runner up. Lindokuhle was also a third runner up in a One Act Play Writing competition in isiNdebele 2023.
