About Angelo Fick

Angelo Fick is the Director of Research at the Auwal Socio-economic Research Institute (ASRI) in Johannesburg.  He taught in various universities in the humanities, sciences, and applied sciences for twenty years.  He writes on post-millennial post-apartheid South Africa’s political economy, and remains interested in broader issues of justice, freedom, and inequality, and in South African Anglophone literary and cultural history.  His work has appeared in the Women Writing Africa (Feminist Press, CUNY), the Journal of Commonwealth Literature, The Johannesburg Review of Books, Cuba Counterpoints, and English in Africa, among other publications.
