Sindiswa Zulu, the author of Mayine is a poet, columnist, event organizer and facilitator from Durban. She writes her work in isiZulu and English and is inspired by Africanism and women’s struggles. She has facilitated writing classes in her hometown and worked as a mentor in partnership with an organization; Bubula-Mbongi. Having curated; The Past Meets the Future with Zawadi Yamungu, Poets & Lovers Camp, Writers Workshop and other events, Sindiswa has been interviewed on national media platforms such as Ukhozi FM, Isolezwe and others. Sindiswa is serving as a secretary at a Youth Centre managed by Deprived Youth Service in partnership with the Department of Social Development.
