Angelo Fick is the Director of Research at the Auwal Socio-economic Research Institute (ASRI) in Johannesburg, South Africa. He taught in different Universities across South Africa and elsewhere for 20 years until 2015. His work is informed by philosophies of science, critical ‘race’ theory, feminism, debates in colonial discourse theory and aspects of post-structuralism. He has written widely on post-apartheid South Africa’s politics and economy. His work has appeared in the Mail & Guardian, Cuba Counterpoint, The Journal of Commonwealth, Literature, English in Africa, Herri, The Funambulist Magazine and The Johannesburg Review of Books.
