Paulo Scott is a writer, translator, playwright, screenwriter and cultural press collaborator. He was born in Porto Alegre in 1966 and lives in Sao Paulo. Among his books; 5 novels, a short stories book and 6 poetry books, has been awarded prizes such as the Machado de Assis prize from the National Library Foundation and shortlisted for renowned prizes like Jabuti Prize, Portugal Telecom Prize for Literature, Dublin Literary award and Sao Paulo Prize for Literature.  His work, Still Orangutans was adapted into a movie and won the Milano Film Festival in 2008 and Phenotypes was shortlisted for Sao Paulo Prize for Literature in 2020.
